Unique! Unlike any other hoya!
Fine, strappy leaves, very soft, almost grass-like with a blunt finish, measuring 8cm x 0.3cm, sun-stressing to a deep purple colour.
Blooms: Spectacular flowers, often described as 'a cluster of pink baby squid in a dance circle!' Up to 8 flowers per umbel. Spicy, sweet fragrance. Short lifespan.
Sun exposure: Prefers brightly lit conditions.
Water requirement: Use fast-draining mix. Allow to dry out considerably between waterings. Water less in winter.
Maintenance: Low. Half strength doses of fertiliser in growing period (warmer months).
Special note: Native to Borneo. Described first in 1908 then, after DNA analysis in 2020, was published as a hoya. Intermediate hoya: best suited to temperatures between 15-35C.
Each living plant is unique and may vary in size, colour, or shape depending on the season. Flowering plants are sent when available. Plants are sent bare-rooted.
