Hoya carnosa (red) H332

Strong, sweet fragrance which can fill an entire room!

A twining, rapid-growing hoya with green, thick, shiny, flecked leaves measuring 11cm x 6cm. New growth may be red but becomes green with maturity.

Blooms: Star-shaped red flowers, up to 20mm in diameter, with lemon-centred red corona. Up to 25 flowers per umbel. Nectar producing. Strong, sweet-smelling fragrance. Flowers last up to 7 days.
Sun exposure: Flowers well in lots of bright, indirect light.
Water requirement: Water thoroughly and allow to almost dry out in between. Prefers well-drained, open mix. Water less in winter.
Maintenance: Low. Half strength doses of fertiliser in growing period.
Special note: WAOL permitted. Collection Number 140. There are a great many varieties of Hoya carnosa. Cold hoya: best suited to temperatures between 10-25C.
