Hoya purpureo-fusca IML 0728 H79

A twining hoya that grows well with sturdy support.

Large attractive tri-nerved leaves up to 15cm x 6cm.

Blooms: Delightful star-shaped, dark mauve coloured flowers, up to 20mm, with red corona. Up to 20 flowers per umbel. Nectar-producing. Fragrance smells like lilacs, pleasantly strong in the evenings. Flowers last up to 7 days.
Sun exposure: Medium to bright indirect light.
Water requirement: Prefers well-draining medium. Water less in winter.
Maintenance: Low. Fertilise in growing period.
Special note: WAOL permitted. Full name - Hoya purpureo-fusca Java IML 0728. Recently reclassified as H. cinnamonifolia var. purpureo-fusca IML 0728. Intermediate hoya: best suited to temperatures between 15-35C.
