Hoya nicholsoniae H4

Loved for its stunning foliage which turns red in the sun. Veins are light and visible.

A fast-growing, twining hoya with leaves up to 15cm x 8cm.

Blooms: Reflexed flowers ranging in colour from cream to green/yellow and pink, 10mm in diameter, with yellow-centred corona. Up to 20 flowers per umbel. Strong, spicy fragrance.
Sun exposure: Requires bright and warm growing conditions. Flowers better under higher levels of indirect sunshine, as well as producing beautiful sun-stressed foliage.
Water requirement: Keep moist in warmer months. Prefers well-draining, open mix. Water less in winter.
Maintenance: Low. Half strength doses of fertiliser in growing period (warmer months).
Special note: Collector’s Number 52. WAOL permitted. Has many clones. Formerly Hoya pottsii. Intermediate hoya: best suited to temperatures between 15-35C.
