Pointy, grey-green coloured leaves on this Australian native, up to 9cm x 5cm, richly felted and soft to touch. Butterfly attracting!
Blooms: White star-shaped flowers, measuring 20mm, with small margin of red under a pale rose corona. Up to 40 flowers per umbel. Strong, spicy fragrance. Flowers last up to 7 days.
Sun exposure: Flowers best in bright, filtered sunlight. Leaves will darken in darker growing conditions.
Water requirement: Prefers well-drained, open mix. Water less in winter.
Maintenance: Low. Fertilise in growing period.
Special note: Formerly called H. keysii. Native to Australia. WAOL permitted. Significant variations exist within this subspecies. Damaged plant exudes white sap which is toxic. Intermediate hoya: best suited to temperatures between 15-35C.
