Dischidia bengalensis D30

Elegant, trailing form; well-suited to a hanging basket. Fast growing.

Unique and delicate, succulent foliage – thick narrow leaves measuring up to 2.5cm x 0.5cm.

Blooms: Dainty, bell-shaped creamy-yellow flowers which grow in clusters, especially during warmer months.
Sun exposure: Best in bright indirect light to showcase foliage.
Water requirement: Thrives on high levels of humidity. Mist foliage daily. Allow soil to almost dry out before watering. Submerge in container of water until air bubbles dissipate or gently hose. Will not tolerate roots being overly damp.
Maintenance: Low. Repot annually. Half strength doses of liquid fertiliser at the beginning of Spring and Summer.
Special note: WAOL permitted. Close relative to hoya. Can be confused with Dischidia litoralis: the thickness of the D. litoralis leaf is greater, mature leaves become hard whereas the D. bengalensis leaves are thinner and remain flexible. Roots on this species are often very fine.

Each living plant is unique and may vary in size, colour, or shape depending on the season. Flowering plants are sent when available. Plants are sent bare-rooted.
