An exceptionally succulent and drought resistant hoya.
Chunky, thick paddle-like leaves in a matt green colour, pubescent, measuring up to 9cm x 3cm, growing slowly into a scrambling shrub.
Blooms: White star-shaped flowers, measuring 16mm across, with white corona. Up to 15 flowers per umbel. Fragrant blooms. Flowers last for up to 7 days.
Sun exposure: Lots of bright indirect light or direct sun.
Water requirement: Well-draining open mix is a must! Succulent foliage which does not appreciate over-watering. In winter provide small quantities of water at edge of pot rather than watering over root ball.
Maintenance: Low. This hoya thrives on neglect. Half strength doses of fertiliser in growing period.
Special note: Collector’s Number 70. WAOL permitted. Native to Australia. ‘Rupicola’ means rock dwelling or rock loving. Warm hoya: best suited to temperatures between 21-35C.
