Dischidia melanesica Kole Point IML 0944 D1

There's plenty of 'wow' surrounding this species: giant, shell-shaped foliage in grey-green, displaying impressive shingling behaviour, the underside of which is generally light purple and full of roots.

Blooms: Dainty, bell-shaped creamy-yellow flowers which grow especially during warmer months.
Sun exposure: Best in bright indirect light to showcase foliage.
Water requirement: Thrives on high levels of humidity. Mist foliage daily. Allow soil to almost dry out before watering. Submerge in container of water until air bubbles dissipate or gently hose. Will not tolerate roots being overly damp.
Maintenance: Low. Repot annually. Half strength doses of liquid fertiliser at the beginning of Spring and Summer.
